Event Day FAQ 

 

1. When and where will Valentine Run 2016 be held? 

Valentine Run 2016 will be held on 21 February 2016 at Bedok Reservoir Park. The registration starts from 7.15am. Shortly after will begin with warm up and flag off the run. The event is expected to end around 10.30am.

2. What should I wear? 

Participants are encouraged to wear the sports attire with covered running shoes. 

 

3. Will there be a bag deposit service? 

No. Please be advised not to bring excessive cash and valuables as there will not be a bag deposit service provided. 

  

4. What is the route? 

All participants will assemble at the sloped lawn (behind the Archipelago Condo) for the warm up. The run will begin and end at the area just next to the sloped lawn. The total running distance is 4.35km.

5. If I miss the flag off time, can I still join in? 

Yes, of course! Come join in the fun!

 

6. What if I am injured during the run? 

Medical assistance will be provided to these participants at first aid stations located along the route. There will also be an ambulance on standby at the venue.

 

7. Will there be refreshments provided? 

Refreshments will be provided for runners after the run.

 

8. What happens in the event of bad weather? 

In view of the safety and well-being of the runners, the Organiser may decide to call off the run due to bad weather. Runners who are on the routes will be diverted by route marshals to nearby shelter areas. If the run has to be cancelled, there will be no refund of fees paid.

 

This is mainly because the Organiser will have to pay the vendors and the service providers for the works and the purchases which were made to prepare for the run. Nevertheless, we do value our participants and we will do our best to make alternate arrangements. 

  

 

 

Registration FAQ

 

1. When is the registration period? 

You may get your tickets from your Kampong Chai Chee CC or RCs (Please do find out their operating hours).

 

2. Will the Organiser close the registration earlier? 

Yes. Registration will be closed once all tickets were taken up. 

 

3. What types of payment are accepted? 

Please try to bring along the exact amount or loose change, only cash payment is accepted. 

 

4. Do I need to submit an Indemnity Form? 

The purchase of ticket would signify the acceptance of indemnifying the Organisers from any mishappenings.

 

5. How will I know if my entry has been accepted? 

We will issue event ticket upon successful purchase. 

 

6. Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration? 

No. All registrations are non-refundable. 

 

 

 

 

Goodie Bag FAQ

 

1. When and where can I collect my Goodie Bag?

Goodie Bag collection will be on the event day. Do look out for our dedicated booth.

 

2. What documents should I produce upon collection of my Goodie Bag at the counter? 

Please bring along your Official Ticket for verification purposes. 

 

3. What can I do if I know in advance that I am unable to collect my Goodie Bag during those times? 

You may appoint a representative to collect on your behalf. Your representative is required to produce the Official Ticket.

 

4. If I miss the collection dates and times, will I be able to collect my Goodie Bag on the event day? 

No. All runners and appointed representatives are to collect their Goodie Bags during the above-mentioned period. There will be strictly no collection of Goodie Bags before the event day. 

However, participants who missed the times may collect their Goodie Bag at Kg Chai Chee CC up to 1 week after the event day. 

 

Uncollected Goodie Bags after the Late Collection Period will be deemed unwanted and the Organiser shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly.

 

5. I realized that I have missing/faulty items in my Goodie Bag after leaving the Goodie Bag collection counter. Can I return to the counter to request for an exchange of faulty items or a top-up of missing items?

No. All runners and representatives should perform a check for missing or faulty items in their Goodie Bags at the collection counter and notify the counter staff immediately should there be any faulty items or items missing from their Goodie Bags. Once they leave the collection counter, they will not be allowed to request for an exchange of faulty items or a top-up of missing items.
